Getting to Portland
We are thrilled to welcome you to Portland for the upcoming Western Conference! Below are details to help ensure smooth travel to Portland and the Hilton Portland Downtown Hotel.
It’s Rose Festival time during the conference! Be sure to take advantage of some of the many activities to celebrate the City of Roses. There are parades, a fair at Waterfront Park, vessels from the US Navy, US Coast Guard, and the Royal Canadian Navy, fun runs & walks, and much more. Travel By Air:
Travel to Portland International Airport (PDX) and enjoy the new main terminal that is a reflection of the Pacific Northwest, from the local timber and people that built it, to the shops inside.
Getting to the Hilton Portland Downtown Hotel
An amazing conference venue for your stay just steps from unique restaurants, the waterfront where the Portland Rose Festival will be underway, and interesting shops and activities.

Travel Options from PDX
- Ride MAX! – Take Portland’s award-winning light rail system on a short 37-minute trip to save on parking and cut down on emissions. No transfers needed.
How to pay? Just tap your contactless credit card or a phone using a mobile wallet (Google Pay, Apple Pay or Samsung Pay) on the machine when you board. You can also purchase a Hop Card, if you prefer. There’s no need to tap when you get off. Follow these travel steps:- At the airport, board the MAX Red Line to Hillsboro Airport/Fairgrounds, which runs every 15 minutes or less most of the day, every day. The PDX airport stop ID is 10579.
- Get off at the Pioneer Square North MAX station (ID 8383).
- Walk 0.1 miles to the Hilton Portland Downtown Hotel, which is about a 3-minute walk.

- Rent a Car – Rent a car from one of several car rental facilities conveniently located at the airport and drive to the Hilton. It’s about 12 miles and about 25 minutes of travel depending on the time of day. The hotel offers valet parking for $55 per day or there are nearby parking garages for a lower cost.
If Driving to Portland – Parking Options
- At the Hilton Portland Downtown Hotel – there is valet parking for $55 per day.
- Nearby parking garages – there are several in the downtown area which offer a less expensive parking option. Use your phone to access convenient ‘parking locations near Hilton Portland Downtown’. Some options include:
